New patients
What the first visits actually involve.
A considered assessment, a clear explanation, and treatment only if it fits and you want it. Appointment lengths will be confirmed when online booking opens.
Before you arrive
Wear clothes you can move in. Bring a list of medicines, any scans you already have, and the questions you actually want answered. You do not need to arrange new imaging before the visit unless a doctor has already asked you to.
The conversation
The first part of the visit is your history. Where it hurts, what it stops you doing, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping for. This is also where we screen for problems that do not belong in a chiropractic clinic.
The examination
We look at posture and movement, test the relevant joints and nerves, and check anything your story has raised. It is hands-on and unhurried. You can ask what each part is for.
A plain explanation
You will hear what we think is most likely, what we are less sure about, and what the realistic options are. That may include advice and exercise only, chiropractic manual care, a trial of decompression, a review visit, or a referral. Sometimes it includes more than one.
Consent, then care
Treatment does not start until you understand the option and agree. Fees for that visit are discussed before you commit. We will publish a fee guide once it is final. Nothing on this website is a quote.
After you leave
Some people feel easier. Some feel a little sore for a day or two, as they might after new exercise. You will know what is ordinary, what to watch, and how to reach the clinic. If symptoms worsen in a way we have flagged — new weakness, bladder or bowel change, severe unrelenting pain — seek urgent medical care rather than waiting.
Review
A plan that is working should show a change you can notice: pain, sleep, sitting, walking, training, work. If it does not, we change the plan or refer you. A long course of care is not assumed at the first visit.
Care at this clinic is provided by registered chiropractors. We work within musculoskeletal practice. We do not claim to treat non-musculoskeletal disease, and we will refer when your presentation sits outside our scope.
